YOUR NEXT CHAPTER

A clear CV.
A confident next step.

Start with your experience. Choose a layout. Make it yours.

1. Choose your template

Choose from six single-column layouts. New: Executive, Technical and Skills-based. Change layouts at any time without losing your entries.

All six use selectable text and a single reading column. No template guarantees an interview or compatibility with every recruitment system.

2. Tell your story

Complete the sections relevant to the job. Empty sections stay out of your CV. Use truthful information tailored to the vacancy.

Use your professional name. Do not add an identity or passport number.

Name your target role and relevant strengths. Example: Programme Officer | Community Engagement | Monitoring.

Use a professional email, phone with country code, and city/country. Add a relevant portfolio or LinkedIn URL if you wish. Check every detail.

Include only details you want employers to see. A full home address, identity number or date of birth is usually unnecessary.

Write 2–4 lines covering relevant experience, strengths and the contribution you can make. Avoid unsupported claims.

List the most recent role first: title, employer, location and dates. Add 3–5 bullets using action + task + result. Example: Coordinated weekly reporting to identify overdue actions. Use numbers only when accurate.

List qualification, institution and completion or expected date. Graduates can add relevant coursework. Do not present an unfinished qualification as completed.

Choose skills you can demonstrate that match the vacancy. Group technical, professional and language skills. State proficiency honestly.

Include relevant projects or volunteering, your role, dates and the outcome. This can show useful early-career experience.

Add certification, issuing body and date or expiry. Exclude sensitive identity details and references’ contacts without their permission.

3. Review and download

Check the preview, spelling and dates. Use PDF when accepted by the employer, or plain text for application forms. Editable HTML is not Word/DOCX. Download before closing this tab.

Editable downloads are HTML files. Open one in a browser, click its text to edit, then print. To keep further edits, use a text editor or word processor that supports HTML. For PDF, choose “Save as PDF” in your browser’s print dialog. Disable browser headers and footers for a cleaner CV.
